Do yourself a favour, just download and print the pdf file from All worksheets in a single documents called 'A Gentle Introduction to GIS' ( I definitely will). Real solid and detail, a real reference timeless standard if you ask me best suited for QGIS users because it makes reference to QGIS as the GIS tool.
